Bobbianne Grant – Secondary Leadership Academy
Originally, I am from Montpelier, Ohio. Also, I have lived ten years in Traverse City, Michigan, before moving down to Palm Harbor, Florida.
In 1983, after graduating from Ohio Northern University, with a BA in Education, I started teaching elementary. I also received my Master’s in Principalship in Administration from Central Michigan University.
I hold my Florida Professional Educator’s Certificate (5-9 in English, Social Science, Science and Mathematics (in progress)), and (K-6). In 2000, I started my Montessori training. I am trained and have my American Montessori Society Certificates in Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Secondary (7th-12th grade) and am an American Montessori Society Consultant.
The part of the Montessori curriculum that I find the most exciting is the excitement in a student’s eyes when they really understand the concept that was presented to them and they appreciate the lesson and personally tell you “thank you for the lesson.” To go alone with the excitement is when the students can see your passion as a teacher as you are giving your lessons and they comment on how you love your job.
My husband Lee and I have been married for 32 years and we have a daughter Lynzi (28) and a son Zach (21). Lee and I love to travel all over the world, hike the Appalachian Trail, and scuba dive.
