Taren Ponce
Taren has worked in Early Childhood since 1995. She has been an After School Teacher for children with special needs, Assistant Teacher in the VPK Program, a Preschool Lead Teacher, an Infant Teacher, an Administrative Assistant, an Assistant Director and finally, a Center Director. She was with her previous school for over 22 years. She was the Director there for the last 6 years. She joined our team as Operations Director in November of 2020.
Taren earned her Child Development Associates and VPK Endorsed Director’s at Saint Petersburg College and PTECH. She is CPR and First Aide Certified. Taren is a member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
Taren loves working with children and places great value in building relationships with families, children, and staff. She loves being a part of the “Village” that it takes to raise a child. Taren believes that children are the future and that we need to do our best to give them a great foundation to ensure their success. Taren has two adult children, two beautiful granddaughters, and one grandson. In her free time, Taren enjoys spending time with family and friends. She loves going to the beach, reading, and playing games. Her favorite thing to do is traveling with her wonderful husband, Antonio.
