Taren Ponce

Taren has worked in Early Childhood Education since 1995 and brings decades of experience
and dedication to her role as Head of School. Throughout her career, she has served in a wide
range of positions, including After School Teacher for children with special needs, VPK
Assistant Teacher, Preschool Lead Teacher, Infant Teacher, Administrative Assistant, Assistant
Director, and Center Director. Prior to joining our school, Taren spent over 22 years with her
previous school, serving as Center Director for the final 6 years.

Taren joined our team in November of 2020 as Director of Operations and, through her strong
leadership, commitment to excellence, and passion for education, has since grown into her
current role as Head of School. She provides guidance and support to staff while ensuring a
nurturing, high-quality learning environment for children and families.
Taren earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and VPK Endorsed Director
credentials through Saint Petersburg College and PTECH. She is CPR and First Aid certified and
is a proud member of NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children).
Taren is deeply committed to building strong relationships with families, children, and staff and
values being part of the “village” it takes to raise a child. She believes children are our future and
that providing a strong foundation is essential to their long-term success.

Taren has two adult children, four grandchildren, two granddaughters and two grandsons, and an
adorable Pom Terrier named Bear. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and
friends, traveling, going to the beach, reading, taking Bear for walks, and playing games. Her
favorite pastime is traveling with her wonderful husband, Antonio
