Lori Ringo
Assistant Teacher

Lori joins Palm Harbor Montessori Academy after over a decade homeschooling her two daughters. The homeschooling journey proved to be both challenging and rewarding as Lori sought to develop and identify curriculum which addressed her daughters’ academic and extracurricular pursuits.

Interestingly, Lori’s educational and professional path has now come full circle. After having moved to Florida from Pennsylvania in 2008, Lori and her husband, David, had only a few days to register their older daughter for kindergarten. A Montessori Academy in Hernando County presented itself as the most viable option; this decision served to support the family’s desire to provide their daughters with a solid educational foundation, a passion to volunteer within the community, and an appreciation for nurturing all aspects of their physical and mental well being.

Prior to dedicating her time to homeschooling, Lori’s professional career began in 1989 working for the Senate of Pennsylvania as a legislative liaison for a state senator. As her intrigue for legislative change and activism grew, Lori became a state and federal registered lobbyist representing contractors, suppliers and manufacturers. Knowing the importance of a healthy life balance, Lori can be found exploring our state’s parks and nature preserves, practicing yoga, and treasuring time with her family. Excited for the next chapter, Lori looks forward to bringing her passion for nurturing and educating children to Palm Harbor Montessori Academy.
