Angela Lyons

Where are you from? I am from New Hampshire.
What year did you begin working with children? I began working with children in
Pinellas County Schools 1979. In Pinellas County Schools, I taught Specific Learning
Disabilities/Varying Exceptionalities. I retired from Pinellas County Schools in 2021
and spent the last 5 years working in a Montessori School as a Substitute and
Summer camp Counselor.
What is your favorite thing about Montessori? My favorite thing about Montessori
is Maria Montessori’s philosophy and the warmth and Love shared among the
students, teachers and parents.
Tell us something interesting about you. One of my favorite phrases is, “Always
look for the presence of wonder.” Through the years, I have had the privilege of
experiencing this, through the faces of the students I’ve taught.
