Sarah Bartlett
Sarah is originally from Upstate New York (Rochester area). She lived in Ohio for a few years while pursuing her Bachelor’s degree and then moved to Maryland to begin her teaching career. She and her husband now reside in Palm Harbor with their two children.

She began teaching 6th grade in 2003 at a public school in Bethesda, Maryland where she also oversaw a team of 8 teachers and 160 students. She temporarily left her career in 2014 to raise her children and it was during that time she discovered a passion for Montessori education.

Sarah received her teaching degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio and her Masters Degree as a Reading Specialist from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland.

The part of the Montessori curriculum that Sarah finds fascinating are the many ways that grammar and math concepts are shown in concrete forms. It’s very exciting to see the students grasp abstract concepts.

Sarah has two young boys ages 5 and 7 who also attend Palm Harbor Montessori. As a family, we enjoy hiking, boating, fishing and traveling.

A visit to South Africa to go on a safari is a bucket list item of Sarah’s.
